Films, music & books

Books, books and some more books

As you might have guessed from the title, my day was filled with books. I went to this event called ‘boekenfestijn’ (translates into something like ‘bookfest’), which is this big book sale event organised once a month in a city in Belgium or the Netherlands. They manage to acquire a whole hall’s worth of books, most of which are reasonably priced. This is both a blessing and a curse, as this makes it way too easy to buy a whole bunch of books. It makes for a great day of book browsing. Here are some pictures of my day in book paradise:

Here are the books I ended up buying:

To be honest, I bought the Monsters one because of the really really brilliant artwork. I mean, people with torsos as faces; it doesn’t get any better than that! Eat, Pray, Love is a book I probably read once, years ago. Barely remember it. The Kite runner has been on my TBR list for a while now, so that was a no-brainer. Just like the original fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen. The last two books are about Pakistan and India: countries I’m fairly interested in.

So that was my book filled day for you. Thank you for reading!
